QISO has equal amounts of material by weight in every direction enabling:

  • Simple & Efficient Processing: No need to orient plies. QISO has uniform stiffness in every direction enabling easy layup.
  • Significant Reduction in Ply Count: One layer of QISO replaces multiple layers of traditional woven material.
  • Reduction in Waste: QISO’s uniformity in all directions enables efficient use of fabric. Pattern cutting is simplified and material usage is optimized. A&P produces QISO in custom widths to further reduce waste.
  • Superior Performance: QISO outperforms woven fabrics in tension, compression and open hole. In impact events, interlaminar shear stresses are reduced due to QISO’s uniform ply architecture, resulting in better energy absorption and higher impact resistance.
